Sec. 311. Health Professions Workforce Fund

There is established in the Health Resources and Services Administration of the Department of Health and Human Services a Health Professions Workforce Fund to provide for expanded and sustained national investment in the health professions and nursing workforce development programs under title VII and title VIII of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 292 et seq; 42 U.S.C. 296 et seq). There is authorized to be appropriated, and there is appropriated, out of any monies in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the Health Professions Workforce Fund— $355,000,000 for fiscal year 2019; $375,000,000 for fiscal year 2020; $392,000,000 for fiscal year 2021; $412,000,000 for fiscal year 2022; $432,000,000 for fiscal year 2023; $454,000,000 for fiscal year 2024; $476,000,000 for fiscal year 2025; $500,000,000 for fiscal year 2026; $525,000,000 for fiscal year 2027; and $552,000,000 for fiscal year 2028.
For the purpose of carrying out health professions education programs authorized under title VII of the Public Health Service Act, in addition to any other amounts authorized to be appropriated for such purpose, there is authorized to be appropriated out of any monies in the Health Professions Workforce Fund, the following: $240,000,000 for fiscal year 2019. $253,000,000 for fiscal year 2020. $265,000,000 for fiscal year 2021. $278,000,000 for fiscal year 2022. $292,000,000 for fiscal year 2023. $307,000,000 for fiscal year 2024. $322,000,000 for fiscal year 2025. $338,000,000 for fiscal year 2026. $355,000,000 for fiscal year 2027. $373,000,000 for fiscal year 2028.
For the purpose of carrying out nursing workforce development programs authorized under Title VIII of the Public Health Service Act, in addition to any other amounts authorized to be appropriated for such purpose, there is authorized to be appropriated out of any monies in the Health Professions Workforce Fund, the following: $115,000,000 for fiscal year 2019. $122,000,000 for fiscal year 2020. $127,000,000 for fiscal year 2021. $134,000,000 for fiscal year 2022. $140,000,000 for fiscal year 2023. $147,000,000 for fiscal year 2024. $154,000,000 for fiscal year 2025. $162,000,000 for fiscal year 2026. $170,000,000 for fiscal year 2027. $179,000,000 for fiscal year 2028.
