Sec. 3609. Snake River Basin flood prevention action plan

As soon as practicable after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary, in consultation with the Commissioner of Reclamation, shall develop a flood prevention action plan for each State or portion of a State within the Snake River Basin. A flood prevention action plan under subsection
(a)shall— focus on the areas most likely to experience flooding within the next 2 years; include steps to manage and reduce flood risks within the Snake River Basin; and include a description of the actions the Secretary and the Commissioner of Reclamation plan to take to improve coordination with local stakeholders to help manage and reduce flood risks in the areas described in paragraph (1). Not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act, after coordinating with local stakeholders, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives the flood prevention plans developed under subsection (a).
