Sec. 3201. Certain levee improvements

In the case of a levee described in subsection (b), the Secretary is encouraged to cooperate to the maximum extent practicable with non-Federal sponsors to implement necessary improvements to the levee. A levee referred to in subsection
(a)is a levee that is— owned, operated, and maintained by the Secretary; and hydraulically tied to a community-owned levee that is not accredited by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in accordance with section 65.10 of title 44, Code of Federal Regulations (or successor regulations).
