Section 707 ( 50 U.S.C. 1881f ), as amended by section 106, is further amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: Together with the semiannual report submitted under subsection (a), the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation shall submit to the congressional committees specified in such subsection, and make publicly available, a report containing, with respect to the period covered by the report— the number of applications made by the Federal Bureau of Investigation described in subsection (j)(1)(A) of section 702; the number of such applications that were approved and resulted in the contents of communications being accessed or disseminated pursuant to such subsection; and the number of Attorney General approvals made pursuant to subsection (j)(4)(A) of such section. .
