Section 1315(b) of the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 ( 42 U.S.C. 4022(b) ) is amended by adding at the end the following: The Administrator shall appoint a regional coordinator in each region served by a Regional Office (as defined in section 501 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 311 )) to provide technical assistance to small communities to enable those communities to effectively participate in and benefit from the community rating system program. There are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to carry out this paragraph, which shall remain available until expended. .
