Chapter 121 of title 46, United States Code, is amended— in section 12102— in subsection (c), by adding at the end the following: The Secretary may require such an undocumented barge more than 100 gross tons operating on the navigable waters of the United States to be numbered under chapter 123 of this title. ; and in subsection (d), by striking Secretary of Transportation and inserting Secretary of the department in which the Coast Guard is operating ; and in section 12301— by striking subsection (b); and by striking the subsection designation in subsection
(a)and indenting appropriately.
