Section 703(b) of the Office of National Drug Control Policy Reauthorization Act of 1998 ( 21 U.S.C. 1702(b) ) is amended— in the heading, by striking ; and Deputy Directors by striking paragraph (2), and inserting the following: The Director, and such members of the Office of National Drug Control Policy staff as designated by the Director, shall be responsible for demand reduction activities, supply reduction activities, and for State, local, and tribal affairs. ; and by amending paragraph
(3)to read as follows: There shall be a Deputy Director for Demand Reduction, a Deputy Director for Supply Reduction, and a Deputy Director for State, Local, and Tribal Affairs. . The amendments made by subsection
(a)shall take effect on October 1, 2017.
