It is the sense of the Senate that politically motivated budget cuts— are counterproductive to deficit reduction, diminish the ability of the Internal Revenue Service to adequately serve taxpayers and protect taxpayer information, and reduce the ability of the Internal Revenue Service to enforce the law.
