Section 236(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1226(a) ) is amended— in paragraph (2)(A), by striking bond of at least $1,500 and inserting subject to paragraph (4), bond in an amount that is not more than $1,500 ; and by adding at the end the following: The limit on the amount of bond in paragraph (2)(A) shall not apply with respect to an alien who has committed an aggravated felony. .
