In this title: The term Federal databases means— the National Crime Information Center database; the Combined DNA Index System; the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System; the Violent Criminal Apprehension Program; the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System; and other Federal databases relevant to responding to cases of missing and murdered Indians. The term Indian means a member of an Indian Tribe. The term Indian country has the meaning given the term in section 1151 of title 18, United States Code.
The term Indian Tribe has the meaning given the term in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act ( 25 U.S.C. 5304 ). The term law enforcement agency means a Tribal, Federal, State, or local law enforcement agency.
