Section 10216(g) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking as the result of a combat-related disability (as defined in section 1413a of this title), the person may be retained and inserting for any reason other than a disqualification described in subparagraph (B), the Secretary shall appoint that person to a position under section 3101 of title 5, in accordance with section 2102(a) of that title, ; in paragraph (1)(A), by striking the combat-related ; and by striking paragraph (3).
