Subsection
(c)of section 411 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 211 ) is amended— in paragraph (18), by striking and after the semicolon at the end; by redesignating paragraph
(19)as paragraph (21); and by inserting after paragraph
(18)the following new paragraphs: administer the U.S. Customs and Border Protection public private partnerships under subtitle G; administer preclearance operations under the Preclearance Authorization Act of 2015 ( 19 U.S.C. 4431 et seq.; enacted as subtitle B of title VIII of the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015; 19 U.S.C. 4301 et seq.); and . Subparagraph
(A)of section 411(g)(5) of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 211(g)(5) ) is amended by inserting before the period at the end the following: compared to the number indicated by the current fiscal year work flow staffing model . Subparagraph
(B)of section 814(e)(1) of the Preclearance Authorization Act of 2015 ( 19 U.S.C. 4433(e)(1) ; enacted as subtitle B of title VIII of the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015; 19 U.S.C. 4301 et seq.) is amended to read as follows: a port of entry vacancy rate which compares the number of officers identified in subparagraph
(A)with the number of officers at the port at which such officer is currently assigned. . Subsection
(r)of section 411 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 211 ) is amended— by striking this section, the terms and inserting the following: this section: the terms ; in paragraph (1), as added by subparagraph (A), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: the term unmanned aerial systems has the meaning given the term unmanned aircraft system in section 331 of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 ( Public Law 112–95 ; 49 U.S.C. 40101 note). .
