Section 18(g)(3) of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1769(g)(3) ) is amended— in subparagraph (A)(v), by inserting and reducing food waste at both the school and farm levels before the semicolon at the end; and by adding at the end the following: In making awards under this subsection, the Secretary shall give priority to eligible schools that have in effect a plan to reduce or recover food waste. .
