Section 5 of the Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982 ( 42 U.S.C. 10104 ) is amended— by striking Nothing in this Act and inserting: Nothing in this Act ; and by adding at the end the following new subsection: Notwithstanding any other provision of law— the subseabed or ocean water disposal of spent nuclear fuel or high-level radioactive waste is prohibited; and no funds shall be obligated for any activity relating to the subseabed or ocean water disposal of spent nuclear fuel or high-level radioactive waste. . Section 224 of the Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982, and the item relating thereto in the table of contents for such Act, are repealed.
