Title VII of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 341 et seq.) is further amended by adding at the end the following new section: There is in the Department a Chief Security Officer, who shall report directly to the Under Secretary for Management. The Chief Security Officer shall— develop and implement the security policies, programs, and standards of the Department; identify training and provide education to Department personnel on security-related matters; and provide support to Department components on security-related matters. .
The table of contents in section 1(b) of such Act is further amended by adding at the end of the items relating to title VII the following new item: Sec. 711. Chief Security Officer. .
