Section 5(a) of the Global Food Security Act of 2016 ( 22 U.S.C. 9304(a) ) is amended— in paragraph (16), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (17), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: facilitate coordination between the United States Agency for International Development, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, and United States military personnel, with respect to famine-risk areas. .
