Section 204(a)(1) of the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2005 is amended— in subparagraph (D), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (E), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: where appropriate, to designate at least one prosecutor for cases of severe forms of trafficking in persons (as such term is defined in section 103(9) of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 ( 22 U.S.C. 7102(9) ). .
