1996 Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Agriculture shall submit to the Committee on Agriculture of the House of Representatives a report examining the effect the establishment of a Natural Stone Research and Promotion Board pursuant to the Commodity Promotion, Research, and Information Act of 1996 ( 7 U.S.C. 7401 et seq.) would have on the natural stone industry, including how such a program would effect— research conducted on, and the promotion of, natural stone; the development and expansion of domestic markets for natural stone; economic activity of the natural stone industry subject to such a Board; economic development in rural areas; and benefits to consumers in the United States of natural stone products.
