Sec. 7. Gender equality in Federal juvenile delinquency proceedings

Section 5037 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: It is the policy of the United States that there should be no disparities based on gender in dispositions of juvenile cases. The United States Sentencing Commission in creating sentencing guidelines and policy statements applicable to such dispositions, and the courts, in determining such dispositions, shall take care to avoid and remedy any such disparities. . Section 5039 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end of the second paragraph the following:
The Attorney General shall make rules that ensure, to the maximum extent practicable, equal access, without regard to gender, to services, assistance, or benefits provided, to juveniles who have been arrested under Federal authority, or committed pursuant to an adjudication under this chapter, for juvenile delinquency. .
