The Secretary of Labor and the Secretary of Education shall jointly establish an interagency committee, in order to coordinate programs, activities, and services carried out under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act with programs, activities, and services carried out under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 ( 20 U.S.C. 2301 et seq. ). The interagency committee established under subsection
(a)shall consist of 10 members, 5 of whom shall be employees or officers of the Department of Education and appointed by the Secretary of Education, and 5 of whom shall be employees or officers of the Department of Labor and appointed by the Secretary of Labor. The interagency committee shall prepare and submit to the Secretary of Labor, the Secretary of Education, and Congress, an annual report regarding— the actions taken and improvements made during the preceding year to better coordinate programs, activities, and services carried out under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act with programs, activities, and services carried out under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 ( 20 U.S.C. 2301 et seq. ); and recommendations for further actions or improvements to better the coordination of programs, activities, and services carried out under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act with programs, activities, and services carried out under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 ( 20 U.S.C. 2301 et seq. ).
