Sec. 358. Study on extended learning time models

The Secretary shall conduct a study— to evaluate extended learning time models, such as extended school week and longer school days, for elementary schools and secondary schools; and to determine how extended learning time models could be used, or are being used, by local educational agencies to provide additional educational opportunities to students, such as— providing bilingual education to all students in kindergarten through grade 8; offering career and technical education classes to all secondary school students served by a local educational agency; and providing opportunities for non-academic skill development for students.
By not later than 30 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall prepare and submit to Congress, and make available through electronic means to the public, a report regarding the findings of the study conducted under subsection (a).
