Section 640(a) of the Head Start Act ( 42 U.S.C. 9835(a) ) is amended— by redesignating paragraph
(7)as paragraph (8); and by inserting after paragraph
(6)the following: Any of the funds allocated under this subsection for Head Start programs (including Early Head Start programs), for training and technical assistance activities, or for collaboration grants may be used to provide training for administrators and other staff of Head Start agencies in the best practices developed under section 101 of the Trauma-Informed Care for Children and Families Act of 2016. . Section 640(a)(2)(C)(i) of the Head Start Act ( 42 U.S.C. 9835(a)(2)(C)(i) ), in the matter preceding subclause (I), by inserting after training and technical assistance activities the following: (such as training in the best practices developed under section 101 of the Trauma-Informed Care for Children and Families Act of 2016) . Sections 641A(h)(1)(B) and 645(d)(3) of the Head Start Act ( 42 U.S.C. 9836a(h)(1)(B) , 9840(d)(3)) are amended by striking 640(a)(7) and inserting 640(a)(8) . Section 648 of the Head Start Act ( 42 U.S.C. 9843 ) is amended— in subsection (a)(3)(B)(i), by inserting after systems the following: (such as systems that include training in the best practices developed under section 101 of the Trauma-Informed Care for Children and Families Act of 2016) ; in subsection (b)(2)(C), by inserting before the semicolon the following: (such as training in the best practices developed under section 101 of the Trauma-Informed Care for Children and Families Act of 2016) ; and in subsection (d)(1)(G), by inserting after staff training the following (such as training in the best practices developed under section 101 of the Trauma-Informed Care for Children and Families Act of 2016) .
