The President shall direct the United States Permanent Representative to the United Nations to use the voice, vote, and influence of the United States at the United Nations— to call for the removal of any official at the United Nations whom the Department of State determines has failed to uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity established by the United Nations, and whose conduct, with respect to preventing sexual exploitation and abuse by United Nations peacekeepers, has resulted in the erosion of public confidence in the United Nations; to ensure that adequate whistleblower protections are extended to United Nations peacekeepers, United Nations police officers, United Nations staff, contractors, and victims of misconduct involving United Nations personnel; and to ensure that the United Nations establishes and implements adequate protection measures for whistleblowers who report significant allegations of wrongdoing by United Nations officials.
