Section 5023(b)(2) of the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act of 2014 ( 33 U.S.C. 3902(b)(2) ) is amended by striking carry out and inserting provide financial assistance to carry out . Section 5026(6) of the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act of 2014 ( 33 U.S.C. 3905(6) ) is amended— by striking desalination project and inserting desalination project, including chloride control ; and by striking or a water recycling project and inserting a water recycling project, or a project to provide alternative water supplies to reduce aquifer depletion .
Section 5029(b) of the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act of 2014 ( 33 U.S.C. 3908(b) ) is amended— in paragraph (7)— by striking The Secretary and inserting the following: Except as provided in subparagraph (B), the Secretary ; and by adding at the end the following: On request of a community with a population of not more than 10,000 individuals, the Secretary or the Administrator, as applicable, shall allow the fees under subparagraph

Reports on program implementation. . It is the sense of the Senate that— appropriations made available to carry out the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act of 2014 ( 33 U.S.C. 3901 et seq. ) should be in addition to robust funding for the State water pollution control revolving funds established under title VI of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act ( 33 U.S.C. 1381 et seq. ) and State drinking water treatment revolving loan funds established under section 1452 of the Safe Drinking Water Act ( 42 U.S.C. 300j–12 ); and the appropriations made available for the funds referred to in paragraph
(1)should not decrease for any fiscal year.
