Sec. 303. National assessment of educational progress

Section 303 ( 20 U.S.C. 9622 ) is amended— in subsection (a), by striking with the advice of the Assessment Board established under section 302 and inserting in a manner consistent with accepted professional standards and the policies set forth by the Assessment Board under section 302(a) ; in subsection (b)— in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (D), by inserting and consistent with section 302(e)(1)(A) after resources allow ; in subparagraph (G)— by striking limited English proficiency and inserting English learner status ; and by striking and at the end of subparagraph (G); in subparagraph (H), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: determine, after taking into account section 302(e)(1)(I), the content of initial and subsequent reports of all assessments authorized under this section and ensure that such reports are valid and reliable. ; and in paragraph (5)(C), by striking limited English proficiency and inserting English learner status ; in subsection (c)(2)— in subparagraph (B), by striking of Education after Secretary ; and in subparagraph (D)— by striking Chairman of the House before Committee on Education ; by inserting of the House of Representatives after Workforce ; by striking Chairman of the Senate before Committee on Health ; and by inserting of the Senate after Pensions ; in subsection (d)(1), by inserting before the period, the following: , except as required under section 1112(b)(1)(F) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 ( ; 20 U.S.C. 6312(b)(1)(F) ) in subsection (e)— in paragraph (1), by striking or age ; and in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (A)— by striking shall and all that follows through be and insert shall be ; by redesignating subclauses
