Sec. 402. Duties of the chairman

Section 301(c)(3)(A) of title 46, United States Code, is amended— in clause

(ii)by striking units, but only after consultation with the other Commissioners; and inserting units (with such appointments subject to the approval of the Commission); ; in clause

(iv)by striking and at the end; in clause

(v)by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: prepare and submit to the President and Congress requests for appropriations for the Commission (with such requests subject to the approval of the Commission). .
