Section 2976 of title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 ( 42 U.S.C. 3797w ) is amended by striking subsection
(a)and inserting the following: The Attorney General shall make grants to States, local governments, territories, or Indian tribes, or any combination thereof (in this section referred to as an eligible entity ), in partnership with interested persons (including Federal corrections and supervision agencies), service providers, and nonprofit organizations for the purpose of strategic planning and implementation of adult and juvenile offender reentry projects. .
