Sec. 201. Technology demonstration on the distribution system

The Secretary shall conduct 6 demonstration projects to expand the application of technologies to improve observability, advanced controls, and prediction of system performance on the distribution system. The demonstration projects conducted under subsection
(a)shall include the participation of a diverse selection of relevant owners and operators of distribution systems, including— a utility; a political subdivision of a State; and an electric cooperative. Each demonstration project conducted under subsection
(a)shall include the development of a cybersecurity plan.
