During the period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act and ending on September 25, 2017, the second sentence of section 3684(c) of title 38, United States Code, shall be applied— by substituting $6 for $12 ; and by substituting $12 for $15 . During the period beginning on September 26, 2017, and ending on September 25, 2026, the second sentence of such section shall be applied— by substituting $7 for $12 ; and by substituting $12 for $15 . Section 406 of the Department of Veterans Affairs Expiring Authorities Act of 2014 ( Public Law 113–175 ; 38 U.S.C. 3684 note), as amended by the Department of Veterans Affairs Expiring Authorities Act of 2016, is amended by striking During the three-year period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act and inserting During the period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act and ending on the day before the date of the enactment of the .
