Section 604(d) of the Healthy Forests Restoration Act of 2003 ( 16 U.S.C. 6591c(d) ) is amended— in paragraph (5), by adding at the end the following: Notwithstanding section 2 of the Act of July 31, 1947 (commonly known as the Materials Act of 1947; ; and 30 U.S.C. 602 ), the Director may enter into an agreement or contract under subsection (b). in paragraph (7)— by striking and the Director ; and by inserting entered into by the Chief after contracts and agreements .
