Section 2(a)(2)(A) of the Temporary Bankruptcy Judgeships Extension Act of 2012 ( 28 U.S.C. 152 note; Public Law 112–121 ) is amended by striking subparagraphs (B), (C), (D), and
(E)and inserting subparagraphs (B), (C), (D), (E), (F), (G), and
(H). Section 2(a)(2) of the Temporary Bankruptcy Judgeships Extension Act of 2012 ( 28 U.S.C. 152 note; Public Law 112–121 ) is amended by adding at the end the following: The 1st vacancy in the office of a bankruptcy judge for the eastern district of Michigan— occurring 6 years or more after the date of the enactment of this Act, and resulting from the death, retirement, resignation, or removal of a bankruptcy judge, shall not be filled. The 1st vacancy in the office of a bankruptcy judge for the district of Puerto Rico— occurring 6 years or more after the date of the enactment of this Act, and resulting from the death, retirement, resignation, or removal of a bankruptcy judge, shall not be filled. The 1st vacancy in the office of a bankruptcy judge for the eastern district of Virginia— occurring 6 years or more after the date of the enactment of this Act, and resulting from the death, retirement, resignation, or removal of a bankruptcy judge, shall not be filled. . Section 2(a)(2)(C) of the Temporary Bankruptcy Judgeships Extension Act of 2012 ( 28 U.S.C. 152 note; Public Law 112–121 ) is amended— by redesignating clauses
(i)and
(ii)as clauses
(ii)and (iii), respectively; by inserting before clause (ii), as so redesignated, the following: in the case of the 1st and 2d vacancies, occurring more than 6 years after the date of the enactment of this Act, ; and in clause (ii), as so redesignated, by inserting in the case of the 3d and 4th vacancies, before occurring more than 5 years . Section 2(a)(2)(D)(i) of the Temporary Bankruptcy Judgeships Extension Act of 2012 ( 28 U.S.C. 152 note; Public Law 112–121 ) is amended (with regard to the 1st and 2d vacancies in the southern district of Florida) by striking 5 years and inserting 6 years .
