The Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct a study related to any remaining Federal obligations to Indian people displaced by the construction of the Bonneville Dam, the Dalles Dam, or the John Day Dam on the Columbia River in Oregon and Washington. The study shall include— a determination as to the number and location of Indian people displaced by the construction of the Bonneville Dam, the Dalles Dam, or the John Day Dam; a determination of the amounts and types of assistance provided by the Federal Government to Indian people displaced by the construction of such dams to the present; and a determination of whether and how much assistance is necessary to meet any remaining Federal obligations to compensate Indian people displaced by the construction of such dams.
Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General shall submit to Congress a report on the results of the study.
