Sec. 17. Reimbursement of States for deployment of National Guard to the southern border

The Secretary of Defense shall reimburse States for the cost of the deployment of any units or personnel of the National Guard to perform operations and missions under State Active Duty status in support of a southern border mission. The total amount of reimbursements under subsection
(a)for any fiscal year may not exceed $35,000,000.
