Subsection
(c)of section 1801 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 571 ) is amended— by striking paragraph (3); by redesignating paragraphs
(4)through
(15)as paragraphs
(3)through (14), respectively; in paragraph (8), as so redesignated, by striking , in cooperation with the National Communications System, ; in paragraph (9), as so redesignated, by striking the Homeland Security Council, ; in paragraph
(12)by striking Assistant Secretary for Grants and Training and inserting Assistant Administrator of the Grant Programs Directorate of the Federal Emergency Management Agency ; in paragraph (13), as so redesignated, by striking and at the end; and by adding after paragraph (14), as so redesignated, the following new paragraphs: administer the Government Emergency Telecommunications Service
(GETS)and Wireless Priority Service
(WPS)programs, or successor programs; and assess the impact of emerging technologies on interoperable emergency communications. .
