Title VII of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 341 et seq. ), as amended by section 109(a) of this Act, is further amended by adding at the end the following: There is a Chief Security Officer of the Department, who shall report directly to the Under Secretary for Management. The Chief Security Officer shall— develop and implement the Department’s security policies, programs, and standards; identify training and provide education to Department personnel on security-related matters; and provide support to Department components on security-related matters. .
The table of contents in section 1(b) of such Act is further amended by adding at the end of the items relating to such title the following: Sec. 709. Chief Security Officer. .
