It is the sense of the Congress that— the President should appoint a White House Coordinator on Refugee Protection and grant such official the authority and staff necessary to coordinate, prioritize, and lead efforts to address refugee protection issues that involve multiple agencies, including the refugee admissions program, and to resolve interagency differences in a timely, efficient, and effective manner; and this position should be at a senior level and require as a condition for appointment a significant level of prior experience in the refugee protection field.
