Section 1317 of MAP–21 ( 23 U.S.C. 109 note; Public Law 112–141 ) is amended— in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking Not later than and inserting the following: Not later than ; and by adding at the end the following: The dollar amounts described in subsection
(a)shall be adjusted for inflation— effective October 1, 2015, to reflect changes since July 1, 2012, in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the Department of Labor; and effective October 1, 2016, and each succeeding October 1, to reflect changes for the preceding 12-month period in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the Department of Labor. .
