Section 1817(k)(3)(A) of the Social Security Act ( 42 U.S.C. 1395i(k)(3)(A) ) is amended— in clause (i)— in subclause (III), by striking at the end and ; in subclause (IV)— by inserting and before fiscal year 2014 after for each fiscal year after fiscal year 2006 ; and by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new subclause: for each fiscal year after fiscal year 2013, $300,000,000. ; and in clause (ii)— in subclause (VIII), by striking at the end and ; in subclause (IX)— by inserting and before fiscal year 2014 after for each fiscal year after fiscal year 2007 ; and by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new subclause: for each fiscal year after fiscal year 2013, not less than the amount required under this clause for fiscal year 2013, plus the amount by which the amount made available under clause (i)(V) for fiscal year 2014 exceeds the amount made available under clause (i)(IV) for fiscal year 2013. .
There are authorized to be appropriated for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2023 $100,000,000 for the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services for fraud prevention activities under the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
