In this Act: The term foreign terrorist organization means any organization so designated by the Secretary of State under section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1189 ). The term United States national means— a national of the United States (as defined in section 101(a)(22) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(22) ); or an alien who is lawfully present in the United States.
