Sec. 1056. Report on protection of military installations

Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security, shall submit to Congress a report on the protection of military installations. Such report shall include each of the following: An identification of specific issues, shortfalls, and gaps related to the authorities providing for the protection of military installations by the agencies concerned and risks associated with such gaps.
A description of specific and detailed examples of incidents that have actually occurred that illustrate the concerns referred to in paragraph (1). Any recommendations for proposed legislation that would— improve the ability of the Department of Defense to fulfill its requirement to provide for the protection of military installations; and address the concerns referred to in paragraph (1).
