Paragraph

(1)of section 564(a) of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 290ff(a) ) is amended— by striking , acting through the Director of the Center for Mental Health Services, ; and by adding at the end the following: Before making any such grant, the Assistant Secretary shall consult with the Director of the National Institutes of Health to ensure that the grant recipient will use evidence-based practices. .
