Section 520A of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 290bb–32 ) is amended— in subsection (a)— in paragraph (2), by inserting using evidence-based medicine after technical assistance programs ; by amending paragraph
(4)to read as follows: evidence-based programs designed in conjunction with the Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders to treat individuals with serious mental illness. ; and by adding at the end the following: Before awarding a grant, cooperative agreement, or contract under this section, the Secretary shall give written notice of the award to the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions of the Senate. ; in subsection (b)(2), by inserting , including the primary and behavioral health care integration program under section 520K after primary health care systems ; and by amending subsection (f)(1) to read as follows: For carrying out this section, there is authorized to be appropriated $150,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2018. .
