Section 287(g) ( 8 U.S.C. 1357(g) ) is amended to read as follows: Except as provided in section 103(a)(10), 242, or 274(c), the authority to investigate, identify, apprehend, arrest, or detain persons for a violation of any section of this Act or regulation pursuant to this Act is restricted to immigration officers and employees of the Department. Any such authority is further subject to any specific limitations set forth in this Act. .
