Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit to Congress a report on the following: The total mileage of National Forest System roads and trails not meeting forest plan standards and guidelines. The total amount, in dollars, of Capital Improvement & Maintenance deferred maintenance needs for National Forest System roads, including a five-year analysis in the trend in total deferred maintenance costs. The sources of funds used for capital improvement & maintenance roads, including appropriated funds, mandatory funds, and receipts from activities on National Forest System lands.
The impact of road closures on recreational activities and timber harvesting. The impact on land acquisitions, whether through fee acquisition, donation, or easement, on the maintenance backlog.
