Section 5 of the Agriculture and Consumer Protection Act of 1973 ( 7 U.S.C. 612c note) is amended— in subsection (a)— in paragraph
(1)by striking 2008 through 2012 and inserting 2014 through 2018 , and in paragraph (2)(B) by striking 2004 through 2012 and inserting 2014 through 2018 , and in subsection
(g)by striking paragraph
(2)and inserting the following: women, infants and children participating in the program as of the effective date of this paragraph. The Secretary may not require the enrollment in the program of women, infants, and children who are not participating in the program before the effective date of this sentence. .
